Massage Therapy The demand for massage therapists has greatly increased over the past few years with the renewed interest in health and well being that is sweeping the country. Massage therapy provides an opportunity to express very positive values about caring and well being in a way that is both personally and professionally rewarding.
The healthcare industry is experiencing an unprecedented labor shortage in entry-level as well as higher-level occupations. This burden on the industry has provided great opportunities for those looking to change careers and are interested in moving into healthcare. The Medical Office Specialist Program will teach students the required skills needed to work in a medical office setting.
According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, Medical Assisting is one of the nation's fastest growing careers. First Institute Medical Assistant graduates will have the skills necessary to aid the physician and other medical personnel as they examine and treat patients as well as perform administrative duties. Graduates work in a number of different settings including doctor's offices, hospitals, clinics and insurance companies.
Current healthcare professionals may choose to take phlebotomy as a standalone course.
